Adam Kutner Construction Safety. There are many things people do every day to keep themselves safe. People take safety precautions in almost all areas of their lives. What about situations that you may not be in every day and you do not know the protocol on how to keep yourself safe? Say you are in a construction area; do you know what you should be wearing and doing in order to keep yourself safe from injury? Adam Kutner wants you to stay safe in all areas of your life, and being on a construction site exposes you to dozens of potential accidents. Here are a few tips on staying safe.

First, you always want to be wearing PPE, or Proper Protective Equipment. OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) requires several things for being on a construction site that you should be aware of. Steel toe boots are one of the main requirements for being on a construction site. There is heavy machinery all around, along with materials that weigh several tons. Steel toe boots can help protect your toes from being smashed or even cut off in an accident. Hard hats are another must while walking around. A few other things to think about are wearing protective goggles, gloves, and a brightly colored construction vest. Thick clothes that cover all of your legs and arms are the recommended type of clothes to wear. These things all help aid in your protection on a site. Adam Kutner

There is more equipment and tools on a construction site than anyone would care to count. It is imperative that you be sure you are familiar with anything you use on a site. It can mean the difference between life and death, or losing fingers or toes. Inspecting what you are using or are about to use is very important as well. Making sure that what is being operated is in good condition and is working properly can eliminate a huge potential hazard.
With summer coming up, everyone is concerned about staying hydrated. It is so easy to forget to drink water on a regular basis. With temperatures reaching into the 100's it is imperative to stay hydrated. People who work outdoors are at an even higher risk of developing heat stroke. If you are someone who forgets to stop and take drinks of water, it might be a good idea to set a timer on your watch for every 15-20 minutes so you can stop what you are doing, and get the proper amount of water you need. It takes very little to invoke a heat stroke with our weather.

Safety in your every day life is something we all want to try to exercise. Hopefully these tips can help keep you safe in an area that you may not be familiar with. Regular street clothes will not keep you safe in a construction area. Be sure to take all these precautions if ever in a situation where you are in a construction area. Adam Kutner
